What You Can Learn From Britian's Got Talent Susan Doyle and Paul Potts

Are you either too comfortable, or just a bit too scared to get out of your comfort zone?

Your comfort zone may feel safe but if you stay there your life will stay pretty much the same. Great things rarely ever happen in your comfort zone, yet it's so easy to stay stuck there.

Susan Boyle and Paul Potts decided to step well outside their comfort zone and do what no one thought possible. Before you watch these inspiring videos, ask yourself the following questions. and see what you can learn from their amazing performances in the Britain’s Got Talent TV show.

Are you viewing yourself negatively just like the judges and audience judged Susan and Paul before they sang?

Take note of how the how judges and audience behaved towards them. Notice how the audience were negative and even hostile towards Susan. There is lots of derision.

Do you feel like no one has ever given you a chance?

That was Susan’s response to Simon Cowell when he asked her why she hadn't sung before. Here is Susan's response, “No one ever gave me a chance before.”

What do you tell yourself?

Do you say “I am going to rock the audience”, like Susan did before she walked on stage.

Are you following your passion and doing what you were created for?

Susan was trembling afterwards, as she realised that she had finally done it.

Are you ready to do whatever it takes to make your dream a reality?

Susan and Paul did when they got up in front of millions of people only to be ridiculed at first.They went ahead regardless, despite the way they were treated and in spite of what the experts seemed to think!

Is it time for you to step outside of YOUR comfort zone, take your dreams off the shelf, dust them down and go fo it?

Both of these incredibly talented people had GREAT talent, but it was far from obvious. For a long time they didn't believe in themselves enough to do anything about it, and other people didn't believe in them either.

Then one day, they took a huge risk. They stepped out of their comfort zone and laid out their talent for all to see. Susan Boyle and Paul Potts didn't look like they had what it took to be successful, yet they came to a point where they decided to push through that and pursue their dream.

Financial success in six minutes a day

What I'm about to tell you has the potential of helping you to create the life you want. Listen carefully:

A woman living in downtown Ontario, Canada came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognise them. She said

"I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?" they asked. "No", she replied. "He's out." "Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. "Go tell them I am home and invite them in!”

The woman went out and invited the men in. "We do not go into a house together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked. One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love."

Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!” he said. "Since that's the case, let's invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

 "Let us heed our daughter's advice," said the husband to his wife. "Go out and invite Love to be our guest."

The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him.

Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, why are you coming in?"

The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever he goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!"

I heard that story from Bob Proctor. He went on and told me this: "Most people don't have wealth or success in their lives and that's probably because they don't know how to love. Whether you want just wealth, success or love in your life... I can help you achieve it."

It's Easier To Create New Habits Than Break Old Ones. Anyone For A New Habit?

They say bad habits are hard to break, but maybe not if you replace them with good habits that reward you with good health and financial rewards. The following habits range from daily routines to activities that will keep you mentally and physically fit to ways you can keep more money in the bank. Read these suggestions for everyday habits and see if they can pay off for your well-being and your wallet.

In the Morning

Start your day the right way with these great habits that will promote health and less stress.

Wake early. Give yourself time to shake the sleep from your head as well as provide a little extra time to do the things that are important. Read the news, email friends, or take care of other personal business without feeling rushed or guilty.

Don’t snooze. Snoozing guarantees that you will not be getting quality sleep during those last few minutes or hours of the morning. Make a change for a better start to your morning and skip the snooze.

Get a pleasant alarm. Instead of waking up startled, try an alarm that wakes you up gently such as the Zen alarm clock and start your morning off peacefully.

Just sleep enough. Whether you need six hours or nine, find out how much sleep you really need and stick with it.

Eat breakfast. Not only will morning fuel from breakfast get your body going, you will eat less at lunch too.

Slow down. Give yourself time to do what has to be done in the morning rather than frantically rushing around to get everything done in time to leave the house.

In the Evening

Evening routines set the stage for a calm before bed and eliminate some of the stress of a hurried morning. Use these suggestions for less stress in your life.

Go to bed at the same time. A consistent bedtime schedule will ensure you get necessary sleep and you will wake up feeling rested, refreshed, and ready for your day.

Lay out clothes. Make sure everything is ironed and ready to go for the next morning so you aren’t rushing around or trying to select something to wear while half asleep.

Pack lunches. Prepare lunches for yourself and anyone else in the family the night before using a lunch-packing system like the Japanese bento box or Laptop Lunches.

Straighten up. Clean up the clutter that gets left behind each day to avoid having a bigger mess to clean later down the road.

Wash dishes. Take care of this task in the evening so you will have a kitchen clean ready for breakfast the next morning.

Shower. Not only will a shower save you time in the morning, but washing off the dirt, pollen, and toxins from the day leaves you cleaner, and you may even get a better night’s sleep.

Relax. Take some time to do something you enjoy such as read a magazine, watch a little TV, or talk with a friend on the phone.

Get a good night’s rest. Just before bed, it’s best to avoid caffeine and alcohol, leave your worries behind you, and sip some chamomile tea to ensure you get a great night’s sleep.

Be ready to go. Put bags, keys, backpacks, and whatever else you need to take with you in the morning in the same place each evening so you will not spend wasted time and stress looking for them in the morning.

The Paradox of Choice - Is choice really good for you?

Does choice = freedom, or does too much choice limit your happinmess?

All the choices available offer more freedom than ever before, but they come at a cost. People are overwhelmed with choice, sometimes to the point of not being able to choose at all.

Research suggests that you will be much happier when you restrict your choices. When you are faced with too many choices it can be almost impossible to choose.

In this compelling video, Barry Schwartz, the author of The Paradox of Choice, believes that the freedom of choice provided by endless options increases expectations, leads to indecision and unhappiness.

Maybe, limiting your options and choices, can increase your level of happiness. Try limiting rour choices, you'll find that decision making is less stressful.

If your to-do list is overwhelming, pick just three thing you want to do today. Focus on getting these three things done before anything else; it will give you a feeling of accomplishment.

Simple keys to give your mood a boost:

Give something away

When you do something good for someone else, it helps you to feel happier because it makes you feel that your life has more purpose.

Do a simple act of kindness

It doesn't even have to cost you money, people feel valued when you give them time. Just giving a small gift or doing an act of kindness can make you feel much happier. 

And selfless acts can help your marriage and friendships become much more enjoyable

Change your thinking

A 2005 study that tracked mood changes in dialysis patients discovered that they were in a good mood most of the time, even though they were having their blood cleaned three times a week. Yet healthy patients thought that life would be miserable when asked to imagine sticking to such a demanding schedule every week.
