Consider designing a life where you love the things you do and are able to delegate the rest.
Sometimes you do things out of habit when you don't actually need to to do them anymore.
You can delegate - here's how to do it well:
Be specific
- Clearly explain what needs to be done and by when
- Check whether they have understood your instructions
- Give them an opportunity to clarify or to ask questions
- Let them get on with it
Start small
- If you're not confident that they will do a good job, start by delegating small tasks and see what happens
- As your confidence in them grows add more complicated tasks
Think long term
- You probably could do it quicker yourself if you had the time and inclination
- Think how much faster they will get each time they do it
- Once they're familiar with the process, they may even do it as quickly as you
